While highly appreciating Dr. Mercola's web site in general, I must disagree with him about some vaccinations /immunizations.
It should be clear to any doctor –anybody who is open minded-that not vaccinating at least against poliomyelitis and tetanus [let me add diphtheria] is in my opinion a cruel act to your children.
Anybody who knows a friend with poliomyelitis will tell you!
Dying from tetanus [a cruel death] is now probably very rare, because the success of the world wide vaccinations programs.
This applies also to being crippled by poliomyelitis –G-d forbid.
That there are plenty of totally unnecessary or doubtful or even damaging vaccinations, I agree and there is nobody who can bring any reasonable arguments for them but just "robotically arguments" or because these vaccines have to be sold.
Don't throw the baby away……….be responsible.
India reported at least 525 polio cases last year.
Before the latest polio outbreak, no new cases had been found in Bangladesh since 2000.
However, the World Health Organisation (WHO) did not declare it polio-free because of its proximity to India, where there are still hot spots, especially in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh.
Bangladesh has planned another polio vaccination drive for April 8 and two more rounds for October and November if India fails to eliminate the virus.
Polio is endemic in Nigeria, India, Pakistan and Afghanistan, according to the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, spearheaded by the WHO.
When the WHO-led drive began in 1988, the disease was endemic in 125 countries, and paralysed more than 350,000 children each year.
Immunisation campaigns slashed the number of cases to 1,900 last year, 749 of them in Nigeria.
