Hello,
I would suggest that you get a juicer since the vitamix high speed blades may cause a decrease in the nutritional value of your vegetables. Also you are not able to get the concentrate of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes with the vitamix that you will with juicing.
I would also strongly suggest that you discontinue the use of soy milk. I feel so strongly about this that I generally recommend throwing out what you have in your refrigerator. If you want info on this go to Dr. Mercola's site and search the word soy.

Thank you for this tid bit of information Mr. Gepke, now all I have to do is find an affordable juicer right. I like V8 so how hard could this be?
You are welcome...
The best juicer that we could recommend is the Green Star juicer but a more affordable version would be the Omega juicer on Dr. Mercola's site. I would suggest creating a post on juicing questions to Darcy. She is a part of the nutrition team hear at the Optimal Wellness Center and she would definitely be the expert on juicing.
My understanding of the Vitamix is that you are not throwing out valuable fiber and nutrients as in juicing. I use it everyday with Standard Process Complete.I also find it more filling and satisfying. When I just juice I want to eat immediately, I am totally unsatisfied. It is as filling as water.
I use to use soy milk all the time and do not recommend it any longer.
Dr. Mercola recommends psyllium fiber to add bulk to our diets. An analysis of Dr. Mercola's program reveals that it is alarmingly low of fiber and therefore causes chronic constipation. This is why he sells fiber! Also the plant fibers are removed with his juicing methods. Dr. Mercola should know that lots of natural soluble and insoluble fibers are essential for colon health and cholesterol reduction, as well as other reasons. Blending is absolutely superior to juicing because along with the juice the essential fibers are not removed as in juicing. There is no scientific bases for Glen Depke's claims about blending.
THe simple way to get both benefits id to do both ! I juice adn blend that way I get both benefits , they are both great ways to get really healthy, no arguments there !!!!
Can you recommend a good blender?
that's what i call a trully integrative approach!
vitamix for a blender, long pedigree, no fancy bits but go's on and on and the greenstar juicer for juicing I have both and they do what it says on the tin!
I have read that anything that moves at speeds like blenders, can actually change the structure of molecules and therefore a macerating juicer is the best bet. Also the fiber left over from the juicer can be eaten as well. That way you don't lose the fiber.
I used a blender to juice with for a while. I'd blend the vegetables and then strain it through a cloth bag. I drank the juice and then ate the pulp. But after a while I decided that the blender just goes too fast. It just doesn't seem to be natural enough for me.
