Hi Glen, I just found out I was a protein type. I had thought I was a mixed type. There is nothing on my meal plan about juicing. Should a protein type be juicing? Marty

Hi Marty,

I would recommend to juice a few times per week at the most for a protein type.  Only juice protein appropriate vegetables such as celery, spinach, cauliflower, and maybe one carrot.  Make sure to add the raw egg and raw cream to this juice and use it as a part 3 food.  Only at the end of the meal and in small amounts.

Hi Glen,

I am very curious why a Protein Type would need to drink their juice as a part 3 food?  Specifically if they are juicing ONLY their metabolic type appropriate vegetables that would normally be eaten as their part 2 food.

When I select a combo of my protein type appropriate veggies....green beans, spinach, cauliflower, asparagus or celery, plus either a raw egg, raw cream, raw butter, coconut butter or freshly ground flax seed, I also add approx 3/4 of the pulp back into my juice.  After I consume 4-5 oz of juice (3 times/week), I then proceed to my part 3 food.  If I consumed the veggie juice as a part 3 and the part 3 food as a part 2, man, it would be like trying to run a car with four triangle shaped tires..........very rough!!

I, also, cannot use my protein type veggie juice as the ENTIRE meal, no matter how much raw fat I use.  I first consume the meat of my choice and then the juice and then on to a carb type food IF I feel the need for it.

Hello,

I have to admit that I made a mistake at saying that this would be a part 3 food.  You are completely correct as the combined low glycemic veggies along with the appropriate complimentary foods would be a perfect part 2 food.

I would say though that this generally would not be a full meal replacement for a protein type.
