How do I go about measuring the percentages of proteins, fats, and carbs as a protein type? I know it says 40%, 30%, and 30% but what does that mean; calories, weight, ect.?
First of all the percentages are only a starting point. It is important to remember that it is best to work with a Metabolic Typing Nutritionist at the Optimal Wellness Center to fine tune your macronutrients. Remember that even within specific metabolic types there are a multitude of variations.
With that said, I want to say that this should be made as easy as possible to help it fit easily into your life. It is not about weighing your food or percetages of calories. Based on the percetages listed in the question, when you have your plate of food in front of you 40% would be covered with your protein, 30% with your vegetable nutrition, and 30% fat.
Good Health,
