It is recommended to have at least one bowel movement every day and optimally two per day would be the goal. With optimal elimination you would be looking to never have the residual of more than three meals in your digestive track at all times which would require the minimum of two movements per day.
Good Health,

Glen,
What if i've been on the metabolic typing diet for two months and am drinking kefir in the morning and eating Ultra Life's enzaid with every meal and following my diet plan strictly and also watching my ratio of protein, carbs and fat and "still" slow in elimination. My frequency is once every other day or even every other two days.
What do I do?
G.A.
Could you please tell me what your metabolic type is? Thank you.
Mixed type. I am a fast oxidation dominant.
Thank you
Just to clarify as a dominant fast oxidizer that would actually be a protein type. You mentioned that you are a mixed type. I want to be sure on your MT before I get to the question.
I'm confused about the results. I read somewhere, but i can't find it now, that said i was a mixed type. Maybe you can help me decipher this. The Metabolic Type Analysis results are:
The graph above depicts the relationship of the metabolic factors used to determine your Metabolic Type. Note that your scores will change with each retest, reflecting changes in your metabolism. As your biochemical balance and metabolic efficiency improve, your scores will reflect your improving good health, energy and well-being by moving closer and closer to balance. Please note: These scores reflect relationships within the Autonomic (sympathetic vs. balanced vs. parasympathetic) and within the Oxidative (fast vs. slow) systems. They do not reveal Dominance (the relationship between the Autonomic and Oxidative systems). Complete results including an explanation of your Metabolic Type and a recommended Metabolic Type Diet with Supplement Program have been emailed to you.
I just opened all the documents emailed to me and none of them describe what type i actually am. I have been following my meal plan, I have to say that.
Thank you,
I am generally not calculating the metabolic types and it is more involved than simply reading the percentages. You have mentioned that you are following your meal plan. It should say on the top of the page of your meal plan what your metabolic type is. Sorry about the confusion but we will get this figured out.
Some suggestions to aid in your elimination would be a quality probiotic, digestive enzymes, and possibly a HCL supplement. Also make sure that your water intake is sufficient, about one quart per 50 pounds of body weight. It would also be benefitial to add some first cold pressed olive oil to your diet, based on your metabolic typing recommendations of course. Also do not forget the reduction of stress and anxiety as your nervous system plays a significant role in your digestion and elimination.
Hi Glen,
I just started the eating plan for protein types a few days ago. I tried to follow the menu ideas pretty closely, except I can't get a hold of raw butter or cream now. My movements were doing pretty good, except for this morning. I felt kind of bloated. I'm eliminating kind of often with soft narrow stools and more gas than I would like. I also feel like I've put on more stomach fat as I measured and gained an inch on my waist. What went wrong?? Am I taking in too much fat? I woke up really tired and feeling out of it. Is that just a healing reaction..or should I be changing something?
