I just got my type which is mixed type. I haven't started yet,but I did read over the meals etc. My concern is the time it would take to prepare these meals. I would like to know what are the people working doing for lunch. What do you eat? Breakfast is another big problem, they are hugh. I can't eat that much, I'm use to a bowl of cereal with fruit in morning. To go gluten-free will be a HUGH challenge. thank you
Hello,
The meal ideas are built to show you how to incorporate every aspect of your meal plan but remember that you only need to focus on the primary foods as the secondary foods are optional.
I would recommend starting with your focus on gluten free and then start slowly by focusing on the meal that you feel would be easiest for you at the beginning. This is the best way to work into this if you are overwhelmed that will aid in building success.
Breakfast can be a hard boiled egg with a celery stick dipped in peanut butter as an example.

I have a question. I am a mixed type, and what I understood from reading the book Take Control of your Health, is that mixed types need TWO TYPES OF PROTEIN at each meal, one being high and another low purine, along with 2 types of vegetables. Is this correct?
I've just bought the ebook for the recipes because I find it difficult to incorporate 2 types of protein at each meal without getting very bored after a couple weeks. In the main dish recipes there aren't 2 types of proteins. Just a good balance of one protein and veggies. Combining the main dishes with salads and veggies still does not give that second protein. Glen, could you please clarify this for me?
When I was last on the mixed type diet I ate basically small portions of salmon and chicken breast or egg for dinner, of course with the appropriate vegetables and fats. This diet worked wonders for me- I mean the results were radical and amazing, but I got so bored of eating the same thing that I dropped it. At present I am trying to develop a menu plan that my fussy boyfriend also won't get bored with. Any help at all is appreciated.
