Hello, I'm new to the forum but I've been a "heath nut" for 3 years now. i''ve read tons of books and research endlessly on heath. I'm a protein type but my body seems to be coming into balance now as i can tolerate more and more carbs finally. This is a great forum and its really cool to be able to commmunicate with knowledgeable health experts. My questions are as follows.

1. What are some detox options for protein types???  I've tryed to 10 day detox perfect cleanse kit, milk thistle and many many other natural cleasing methods. They " ALL" cause continious low blood sugar to the point where I have to eat every hour or two so I have to immediately stop all cleanses. Why does this happen??? Does it have something to do with me being a protein type???

2. My main reason to eat healthy was to clear my acne. I eat a perfect diet every day and my skin is 99% clear, the problem is I noticed that when I have sewxual activity i break out every time even if I do it in monderation. Why does this occur and what can i do to stop it??? I eat perfectly for my metabolic type and take suppliments accordingly also but sexual acttivity still causes acne everytime. Please help.

3. Certain foods on protein type list give me problems. Olive oil, just like all the cleasning products cause constant low blood sugar, once again why does this happen, I assume its something to do with  the liver cleansing perhaps or my fast oxidation??? , I already have very few veggies to choose from but i noticed spinach, asparagus and cualiflower cause problems for me, spinach and cauliflower cause cold hands and feet and a overall weird feeling, it could possibly due to I may have weak thyroid and since those foods contain goitrons it makes it worst??? But aspargus dosnt contain goitrons and it causes the same problem, cold hands and feet, or lowered body tempeture, it seems to me those foods change my PH drasticly or something????. Whatever the reason I dont know but my body tells me to avoid those foods, so the only veggie I eat is green beans and it getting really boring lol any suggestions??

Welcome and I would add that I am a "health nut" also.

Most protein types do not do well on cleanses unless the body is in a very acute situation.  I have actually personally done a raw dairy fast for two weeks in the past with great success.  Well actually is was more than just dairy but I used milk, cream, and a raw egg and that is all I had in small quantities for each meal which gave my digestion the break it needed but did not make me crash.

The sexual activity question is probably something that would be better discussed in regards to EFT as opposed to your nutrition.  As an advanced level EFT therapist also at the clinic I would say that this is not uncommon.  If you are ever interested we can address this with a one on one EFT session.  If interested you can call the clinic at 847.985.1777.

The coldness could very possibly due to a lack in fat consumption.  Do you feel that you are reaching almost 30% fat which each meal?  Try the veggies you mentioned with a significant increase in fat and let us know how you respond.

Keep us updated.

Thanx for responding. I eat PLENTY of fat, my diet is actually all dark meat, coconut oil, ghee, and low starch veggies mostly green beans. I normally eat less than 5 grams of carbs a day or so to fel my best but lately I can tolerate a few more carbs so i probably eat around 20-30 grams per day now.  I',m not sure why those foods cause cold hands and fee problems, I eat plenty of fat.

How do you tolerate the part 3 carbohydrates?

The cold hands and feet can also be a lack of proper circulation but that challenge would be beyond the scope of the forum.

I'm sorry but I dont understand what you mean by, "how do i tolerate part 3 carbs"" What does that mean?? Also my circulation is phenominal, the 'ONLY" time I get those symptoms is when i eat those foods, so its abviously something that those foods are doing to me.

Hello,

By the part 3 carbs I am talking about the carbs color coded in red on your meal plan at the bottom of your chart.  Try these and always consume them with added fat.  Please get back to us with your progress.

I learned that the ONLY time i can tolerate hardly ANY carbs is right after exercising and or right before exercising. My body only tolerates LOW STARCH carbs and VERY FEW. I can only eat 3 TOTAL green beans at once. More than that and i get weakness, headacne, ect.... Even celery if I eat 1 piece I get headacne, weakness ect soo i can only eat 1/2 peice of celery I,ve done tons of self test my carb tolerance is almost 0.. I also eat a ton of fat also but it dosnt seem to matter for me. I thought eating fat would slow down the absorption of sugar in the blood but not for me. I eat all my veggies after I eat my dark meat  and I also use cocnut oil or ghee on my veggies but it dosnt help if I still eat more than 3 green beans I get problems. I guess my oxidation of carbs is 99%. The weird this is I can tolerate UNLIMITED amount of nuts, nut butters and avacados without any headaches or anything. Is it possible for a protein type to tolerate more carbs from other sources??? If im not exercising I can do very well on 1 green bean per meals for my carbs  is that normal lol is it someway possible where i can eat a more balanced diet without headacne ect.... Thats why I asked is it insulin resistance or fast oxidation??? Either way its annoying because I cant even eat many veggies and all fruits are forbidden. Luckly  I dont suffer hypoglycemia no more, my body effectively burns fat for energy as needed. It sounds to be that my glucose tolerence is 0, how do i make it better,  I already eat a perfect diet. Is it a liver issue?? Sorry for so many questions.

I avoid all the color red carbs because based on dr. perricone they all cause cellular inflammation and acne. I tested them long ago and i can tolerate a few tea spoons of most of them

Hello,

No problem with all the questions...that is what we are here for.

It is very possible that you are just that fast of an oxidizer and I will say that this does not at all mean insulin resistance.  Use the example of the most extreme fast oxidizer in our world which would be a traditional Eskimo; they eat very high levels of fat and protein with virtually no carbs at all.  Sound familiar?

Your body is giving you all the clues you need and I would suggest honoring the small amounts of carbs that work for you and keep them on the very low and low glycemic levels as you have indicated.

Hello,

I would not be in agreement that those caution carbs overall cause inflammation and acne but would agree with you that based on your reactions to carbs anything but very small amounts of these would typically be a challenge.

i also totally forgot about the high purine meats. They slow down a protein types oxidation a little but I dont like many organ meats. When I eat sardines, chicken hearts, gizzards  or other organ meats i can tolerate more carbs. I havent ate those in a few months though, they arent very good lol.

I have seen many a fast oxidizer shift into desiring the high purine foods as the body starts to recognize the positive shifts that are created.  See what happens....
