I am a Mixed Type, 33 year old male with high cholesterol. I just started my nutrition program and am trying to follow the advice on the website the best I can. However due to financial and family situations I am not able to always follow it 100%. Can you look at my typical schedule below, and see if I am on the right track to better regulate my cholesterol?
6:45am
Exercise for 30 minutes. Per week, usually 4 days of running, 2 days of yoga or weights.
7:30
Breakfast. 2 eggs, smoothie(whey protein, spinach, carrots, yogurt, 1-2 fruits), matcha green tea
10:00
Snack. Almonds or walnuts, raw veggies with humus dip, more matcha green tea
1:00
Lunch. Usually leftovers from previous dinner, often a meat with beans or cooked veggies
4:00
Snack. Almonds or walnuts with an apple
Dinner. Varies, but often a meat with beans or cooked veggies and sometimes a very small portion of rice
8:30
Glass of red wine
The above is a mix of some organic and some regular store bought food. In the morning I also take supplements of Policosanol, elderberry, vitamin d, and fish oil. I also take a Canadian medication of natural dissected thyroid hormone. Again my main goal is getting my Cholesterol in check. Thanks for your advice.
Suppress almonds and walnuts. They are not good at all for your cholesterol. They cause atherosclerosis consequently heart attack. Read the point 3 of this article of Dr Mercola:

Here is an extract:
"You need to be cautious with the quantity of nuts you eat, especially if you have high levels of insulin. Nuts are not your best choice if you suffer from high blood pressure, excess weight, high cholesterol, or diabetes."
No nuts is the solution for you.
In addition you may take edta orally to eliminate metals in your body. Potassium iodide works even better in this regard.
I hope you don't take too much vitamin D because it bioaccumulates in the body and may cause atherosclerosis. I know vitamin D is very fashionable nowadays but the problem of bioaccumulation is real and a serious one because of the toxicity of this vitamin. Edta offers the benefits of vitamin D without the risk of bioaccumulation.
