I'm not a nutritionist (as of yet, anyway), but most commercial instant noodles are made with white flour, which turns into sugar very, very quickly in your body. Most grains will do this, even whole grains, but white flour does this more quickly, and rapidly. With this, your insulin levels rise, which brings up a host of problems. The people you see eating instant noodles all the time probably always have high insulin levels, which increases their chances of:
There are many, many more reasons you want to avoid white rice, pasta, and breads, but these are just a few reasons you want to steer clear of these common American food staples.
If you have a problem with weight, you absolutely want to avoid white grains and sugar like the plague (as Dr. Mercola says), because it raise your insulin levels quicly, giving you quick energy, and bring you down quickly, giving you a low of energy, making you more likely to consume more calories than you need. Also, sugar and high glycemic grains turn off you leptin (I think this is right?) signaling which lets you know if you are still hungry or full.
On top of all of this, some instant noodles are in styrofoam cups, which need to be microwaved. If you search this site, you'll find a few articles on why microwaves should be avoided (unless you want to clean your sponge!). There might also be chemicals (which I have no doubt that there aren't) in the styrofoam cups which will leach out into your food.
Ok, let me know how I did. This was my first reply, and hopefully it helped. If there are any corrections on my statements, please, let me know so I may learn!

Does your grandma microwave instant noodle for you? If you must eat it why don't you put the noodle in a small pot with water and boil it yourself. takes 3 minutes. You don't have to give up rice and pasta, just reduce your intake by half. that would be a good start. Eat more fruits, vegeatables and quality meat so it will fill you up and you don't rely on grain too much.
It will also help to eat raw vegetables like carrots, green leaves salate it is even possible to eat broccoli and the white version of this family of vegetables (don't know the English word for that). I like to eat that and it is a lot better as boiled stuff. Anyway maybe you can arrange that you cook a few times/week! So you can decide what you will cook and eat. It helps also to learn how to cook if you can't yet.
I hope this might help as well!
