I would suggest that you get a juicer since the vitamix high speed blades may cause a decrease in the nutritional value of your vegetables. Also you are not able to get the concentrate of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes with the vitamix that you will with juicing.

I would also strongly suggest that you discontinue the use of soy milk. I feel so strongly about this that I generally recommend throwing out what you have in your refrigerator. If you want info on this go to Dr. Mercola's site and search the word soy.

Skin Sloughing in Infrared Sauna

Dr. Mercola, Thanks so much for this site and for the risk you are taking professionally and (I suspect) personally by persisting. We all know what can happen. Quick question. In a recent article you discussed the importance of not washing the skin for several hours after sunbathing to facilitate Vitamin D production. Issues of Vitamin D aside, several infrared sauna manufacturers advise users to "scrape or scratch" their skin while using the sauna. This results, of course, in their coming out of the sauna with great looking skin and towels covered with gray, waxy material. Is there any reason, healthwise, that patients should not do this? Does this disturb any kind of barrier that's best left undisturbed?

Too little fiber

Dr. Mercola recommends psyllium fiber to add bulk to our diets. An analysis of Dr. Mercola's program reveals that it is alarmingly low of fiber and therefore can cause chronic constipation. This is why he sells fiber! Also the plant fibers are removed with his juicing methods which reduces fiber even more. Dr. Mercola should know that lots of natural soluble and insoluble fibers are essential for colon health and cholesterol reduction, as well as other reasons. I would love his personal comments on this issue in this forum or in one of his future newsletters.

Juicing or Gazpacho

Hi Glen,
Forgive me if this is repeat inf., I can't seem to read any of the posts in todays forum.
This is something I've been considering though. Dr. Mercola recommends eating some of the pulp as he says that we were meant to eat the whole vegetable. That being the case, why not just put it in the processor and make a fresh gazpacho. I'm considering this for two reasons....
1. My husband would think this much more appealing.
2. Otherwise, I probably need a new Juicer. I have a champion. Doesn't Juice everything, and also heats things
    up quite a bit.
