I am a member of a fitness gym, and regularly use the steam sauna before and after my workouts. I was wondering about the chlorine and flouride in the city water that is used in the steam room. I am thinking it is very bad? Breathing the vapors. Am I correct in this thinking? Maybe I should utiliize only the dry room?

If the steam from the shower is dangerous, then it makes sense that sauna steam would be harmful too.

Personally, I get skin rashes on my face after a very hot shower, and after swimming in a chlorinated pool. When I go for a massage, I usually skip the sauna and just have a quick pre-massage shower or towel rub down.
