Hi Can anyone give mea  few tips on increasing the desire for sex, don't laugh! I  don'tn feel like it much at all. So, any types of food, vitamins or just general health things? My hubbie would be very appreciative if you can give me some tips. I am over 50, just over. Thanks so much! Sincerely, Robyn

Hi Robyn.  I wish I had an answer to that one!  I am going through menopause now and having a really, really bad time!

Are you still having problems, you asked so long ago?  I'm 58, female and have not any desire for so long I can't remember.  But something happened to me this year.  I can't get sex off my mind.   I've been dating for the first time in 12 or so years but that didn't start anything.   One weekend this man took me to his home which is on 5 acres, and he rents from another person who has a house on the same property.  You walk out his front door, take one step and look to the right, and you have a clear view of the other person's backyard.  This is what started this endless desire for sex.  There is a 30 or so year old man living there, blonde hair, tall, very nice build, plays in a rock band and has a brand new in ground swimming pool. I have only seen this young man wet and naked, and many times.  I wouldn't know him if I saw him on the street, I've never seen him dry or in clothes.  This image has sunk into my sub conscious.   Sometimes just before I go to sleep I see him on the back of my eyes.  It's a very odd situation.  One time I decided to go talk to the young man, I'm not sure why.  I walked out the door and he waved at me, the first time ever.  I waved back.  So I started walking toward the fence and he waved again.  I waved too, and was getting excited.  Before I got to him, the man I see who is 58, cut me off.  He went to the fence and told the young man I belonged to him and not to talk to me.  My man friend is looking at other properties now and wants to move.  I can't wait.  I'm going to see that young man next summer.   My advice is find something pretty to look at as often as you can, get some sunshine, and go walking.  Good luck!

RobynY,

From what I have read and I personally expericenced, low sex drive is a sign that your hormones could be out of balance.  Dr. Lee's book, "What your doctor may not tell you about menapause",  he lists many symptoms and if you have at least 3 you most likely have estrogen dominance and your progesterone level is low.  I had headaches, no sexauall desire and weight gain.  I began using a natural progesterone cream and my symptoms improved. I no longer have regular headaches, I have lost the weight and my desire is much better.  You need to know if you use progesterone cream, it is transdermal, and you must make sure that you do not use lotions that contain mineral oil, pertrolum or petrolium.  The cream will not be able to penetrate the skin as well.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!  I appreciate your reply very much.  I have been doing some research myself, and have been told by others about progesterone cream.
