Hey Glen, I was wondering if you had any recommendations for a good probiotic without lactose. I've been using the Probiotics Plus for a while with good success, but I believe it isn't the best choice for me because I have problems digesting lactose and the Probiotics Plus contains a bit of lactose.

Thanks,

Jesse

Hello Jesse,

Good to hear from you...

If you are reacting well to the Probiotics Plus I would stick with it.  The lactose is from a raw goat dairy that generally does not cause the same negative effects that  cows millk can.

Yeah Glen, I'm back from the dead :). I was very sick for a while back there, but once I figured out that gluten was what was making me sick, I've been getting better ever since and now I have energy to post on this forum and do all sorts of other things :).

You're probably right and I should stick with Probiotics Plus. I do have a very low tolerance for lactose though, so I've been trying to limit it as much as possible in my diet. I get gastrointestinal upsets from even the small amounts in raw cream. Right now to get my calcium and the additional fat I need, I've been sticking to raw butter and raw cheese because they are both very low in lactose. I seem to tolerate both of these well.

Welcome back from the struggles and I am happy to hear that you have been able to figure out the gluten intolerance.  That is always a huge help to have that information.

Talk to you soon!

Hey Jesse, I believe with the roacutane use we have very similar conditions... I tried many probiotics but the only one that seems to REALLY help me was using soil based organisms. Now im very regular and my stools are not as smelly as before. Royal Flora is what im taking from www.thewolfeclinic.com maybe glen u could look into this and check out the ingredients listed. Im not too sure what bacteria it contain as it doesnt go into specifics. Good luck.
