Hi Glen,
Could you tell me what is yours and Mercolas opinion of colonics? Are they beneficial? Habit forming? etc?
Regards,
Kevin

Kevin,

We do on occasion recommend colonics to our patients.  We always try to get the colon moving naturally but for some it is an advantage to utilize this protocol.  I do not recommend them regularly because once you focus on your fundamentals of health your body will take care of the elimination process.  If you have been struggling in this area for some time and have not been able to improve with any significance it may not be a bad idea to introduce a series of about five colonics to clean out the colon to get everything moving optimally.

I would recommend that after this is all working properly, to continue with your strong focus on your foods, improve your sleep, exercise, sun exposure, and also work through any emotional blocks if you have them.  With EFT I find the "lack of being able to let go" to be a significant block for the colon.

Kevin,

You could start with "even though my colon won't let go", " even though I choose to not let go of my negative energy", or "even though I cannot let go of my energetic blocks".

Your comment that not 'letting go' of emotional aspects an effect the lack of letting go in the bowels. I believe this and I struggle with both. Do you feel the sedona Method works like EFT? I was considering purchasing the sedona method. Thank you~

Hello,

I have never used the Sedona method but regardless of the technique that you use it is of utmost importance to release suppressed emotions from the past as well as the patterns that lead to this.

I have had chronic constipation for about 5 years.  I have tried everything under the sun; including both OTC and prescription.  Right now I am undergoing a series of colonics and have had 6 so far.  I have already lost 8 pounds in two weeks.  I was scheduled to have a colonoscopy yesterday, but my bowel was still full of old fecal material against the walls of  my colon.  I paid for 4 colonics and the provider thinks I need at least ten more.  My question is this.  Should I just finish with the remaining colonics or continue with them?  Is a total bowel cleanse such as one that Dr. Mercola suggests and offers my next step.  I am so frusturated I could just cry.  I can't have a bowel movement no matter what I do.  I have eliminated a lot during the colonics, but my goal is to have a healthy and clean bowel so I can have a healthy bowel routine.  I am at the end of my rope.  I know that it takes time to stimulate the bowel to start working again, but  I am open to suggestions.  About a year ago I went 3 weeks without having a bowel movement.  Please help.

Thank you,

sistergoldenhair

Maby this will help:

I never have your type problem, here is why:

1. I use about 1 gallon of virgin olive oil per month, in various ways.

2. I juce raw vegatables (see the juicing lists in the database of this formum for examples of what to juice), I add to this by juicing raw garlic cloves, raw ginger and raw tumeric root and to the finished juice I add a raw free range egg and virgin olive oil and drink about 8 oz of this three times per day.

3. I make kefir out of raw cows milk and drink about 8 oz three times per day.  The keifer grows the good colonys of yeast and bacterium in you intestins.

4.  I also make a mixture of:  1 Granny Smith apple, cut up fine with peel, a cup or so of sliced almonds, or any nut, 2 or 3 coffee grinders full of flax seed, any color, ground plus 1 coffee grinder full of hemp seen, ground, I then add Chia seed, whole, either white or black variety.  This mixture is put in a large container with a lid.  The chia seed are put in last to almost fill the container.  I then put enough virgin olive oil to soak the contents.  This takes a little stiring.  After i think it is OK, I put it in the fridge.  It lasts 2 or 3 weeks before I have to make another batch.

5.  I am a mixed type, so with my other meal items I take about 1 or 2 tablespoons of this mixture at each meal.

If you are, "normal" with no major problems, and you follow this procedure you should be regular in about 2 or 3 weeks.

My  in-out cycle time by following the above routine is about 12 hours.  The last time I had a colonoescopy the Dr said it was squeeky clean and he found no major problems.

Good Health

Don

Hi ,

I was just wondering is it true that you can build up *stuff* in your colon?  I just have a hard time believing that.

I can't really believe it either.  I've had a few colonoscopies and I've watched the screen and seen the photos of the inside of my intestines and they were really clean.  Of coarse the usual prep was involved here but if that handles the 'build up' than an occasional prep seems like the answer.
