According to the plan, we are supposed to eat all our protein first, then eat low glycemic vegetables, then and only then eat the things in the third category. This is an extremely unappetizing way to eat and bores my palate. This completely limits all meals to very basic grilled protein and simple vegetables. Does this mean I can never mix ingredients into a delicious recipe again? The joy of food comes from the blends and contrasts of textures and tastes. How important is it to eat food in this order and will I get any results if I don't do it, but instead combine these foods into delicious recipes which are more edible? If it's not possible to get results by eating these foods out of order, or in other combinations, please et me know now. Thanks.
Hi Kris,
From my experience with the Protein Type diet I think it is fine to make recipes where the ingredients are mixed but eat most or all the protein source first. Eg, a lamb stew with coconut oil and mushrooms (plus other stuf) in it but eat all the meat first then the rest. There are actually recipes like this for each NT in Dr Mercola's recipe book.
Hope this helps.
