Maintaing your weight

Hi Glen! 

A year ago in August I went organic.  Went off my anit- depressent and anxiety medication.  I do not take any over the counter medication either.   When I stopped eating processed foods and drinking diet soda, my symptoms completely went away.  Over the years I put on weight.  Last August I weighed in at 175.  I am 5' 10.  I have never wieghed that much in my life!  I was always around 140 to 145.  So when I started to eat organic, the weight started to come off.  I was truly thrilled and it wasn't hard to do.  It was the beginning of the summer, I found out my NT.  I am a MT.  I started the plan and added Bio-Thin along with it, the wieght is still coming off and i am  so pleased.  Sunday morning, I weighed in at 148.  My question to you is when i get down to my goal wieght....how do I maintain?  Do I eat more protien and fat?  What would be my ratio etc.?

Hi Shelley,

If you get to a comfortable weight and you continue to lose weight generally all you have to do is add a small amount of foods from your secondary list a few times per day.  If this does not work for you please get back to me.

Thank you Glen.  How does eating off of the secondary chart maintain your weight?

Hi Shelley,

The trigger for storing body fat is actually insulin.  Insulin is raised when we eat higher glycemic foods which is your secondary food list.  When insulin is low any excess fat is released in the breath and urine.  When insulin is high we store excess fat as body fat and raise triglycerides.
