I was referred by a friend to one of this product that replaces two our of three regular meals a day. They told me it will help in shedding the extra pounds and can keep me fit without looking like I was undergoing extreme weight loss program.
Anyway, I was wondering if this is safe? I've never tried replacing any of my main meals. I believe in moderating my meal consumption but to actually not eat is a different story.
Any ideas?

Hi Leo,
You need to know the source of the ingredients, and also the nutritional break down per serving.
From what I have read on this site it is important to avoid soy sourced whey.
I have started using a 'shake' mix called Isowhey Complete, to which I often add a raw (organic) egg and a tablespoon of virgin coconut oil.
My reasons for doing this is that I have some mobility impairment which decreases the amount of calories I can offset with exercise, and ordinarily I eat only once or twice per day - and the amount of food I eat would not supply the RDI of most nutrients. One shake supplies very good levels of vitamins, minerals, fibre etc etc.
Please do 'google' Isowhey - the information available is very complete, which is what gave me the confidence to proceed.
I would not use any shake mix that suggested using it in place of all meals.
