I make a lot of different soups every year that I freeze. Any recommendations as to what to freeze them in? I allow the soup to cool overnight and then I pour it into plastic Zip-loc containers. However, the food is still being exposed to plastic. Are there other products out there that would be healthier? Am I going to have to make special containers out of gourds? (Please say no!)
TIA!
If it's meant to be, it's up to me.
Hello,
Gourd containers it is...just kidding.
I actually use glass jars for freezing liquids. You just have to be sure to leave room for the contents to expand so the glass does not break. If this is not an option for you let me know and we can figure something else out for you.
