I'm a mixed type and every morning I make celery juice with 5-6 stalks plus raw cream and one large clove of garlic.  i also consume now three raw eggs with the juice as I felt I was getting hungry too soon with just one or two.  I have to say that of all the meals I prepare I feel an instant energy boost after my morning breakfast the most.  I feel that the primary reason for this is the juice because before I was just consuming the celery raw without nearly the same effect.  I basically feel great.  But I also have intense tightness in my head afterwards.  I've been having this problem ever since I started the NT type diet, especially when I consume a meal containing only blue with blue.  Glenn suggested I may be going through carb withdrawls which I agree with.  I've been able to limit them by adding fruit to my meals.  My basic question is the juice the cause of this tightness now because I'm consuming too much?  I like the energy boost so I continue with juicing but after reading the posts on the forum I'm not sure what to listen to in my body.  There seems to be a conflict with my head and my body.  Any suggestions?  I have been eating an apple after breakfast which helps but doesn't eliminate the tightness.  Thanks.

Hello,

Your juice combination sounds wonderful for your mixed type metabolism but I would consider getting more variety in with your juice combinations especially in combining green and blue veggies. I also suggest that you eliminate the cream for 1 week to see if you notice any improvement with the tightness in your head. It is possible that the cream is a contributing factor at this time. When you reintroduce the cream, use a small amount such as 1-2 teaspoons to see how this affects you. Keep your serving size of juice to no more than 6-8 oz per serving.

If you are still hungry with the egg, cream and juice combination, this is an indicator that you are most likely missing flesh proteins from meat/poultry or fish at your meal. I encourage you to include them into your breakfast in addition to your juice combination for better blood sugar stability.

Be sure to consume the secondary mixed type foods as needed only after you consume the appropriate primary mixed type foods. If you have done so already, try to incorporate the mixed type ideal of combining green & blue proteins with green & blue veggies along with additional fat.

All the best in health & healing,
