I am a new Protein Type and I have a problem with any meat bought in a grocery store.
I am on a buget that does not allow me to afford Organic grass fed beef, chicken, or wild caught salmon.
Should I go ahead and risk my health with store bought meat. I haven't eaten store bought meat for quite sometime
and since Iv'e turned out as a Protein Type I don't know what to do. I am eating everything on the protein type meal Ideas
"but the meat" and this I am sure defeats the whole purpose.
Thanks, Annie Tryon
Hello Annie,
There are economic ways of eating as a protein type . Trader Joe's would be a good source for your to purchase some organic meat and free-range poultry that is more economical,Whole Foods will also be an option for some meat and poultry.
Whole chicken legs are the best cut of poultry for protein types and can be purchased at Whole Foods for around $2.29/lb. If you enjoy liver this can be purchased at Whole Foods for around $2.99/lb. Organic ground beef can be purchased at Trader Joe's for around 5.99/lb. Wlld caught salmon can be pricey, so I suggest that you consider consuming it on rare occasions at this time. I hope this helps!

It's me again "Laceywillow" I forgot to mention I live in Arkansas in an area with so called Health Food stores but all they carry is supplements and vitamins. Walmart is my only choice unless I want to drive 2 hours to the nearest Wild Oats Store.
Thanks, Annie
Hello Darcy,
Thanks for the quik response. Unfortunately I live in Arkansas and the closest health food
store that actually has real food is 2 hours away.... All we have here is a Walmart and a so
called health food store that only have supplements and vitamins.
If you can't prioritize organic, free-range or wild caught foods, I suggest that you make a commitment to at least eat your food as fresh and pure as possible. e.g. consume fresh veggies instead of frozen or canned, get your meat from the best quality source that is available to you and if possible consider taking a trip to Wild Oats once every 2 months and freezing the meat and poultry that you purchase.
