I too am having trouble with my type. I don't like the dark meat of poultry (I'm trying to learn)...I've always liked the white meat. I grew up with organ meats and I'm afraid that was a big yuck as well. Of the veggies listed...celery and cooked spinach are also not favs of mine. What is a picky protein type to do. I am trying to learn to like these foods...but it is a struggle. Fortunately I like beef and I love raw whole milk, cream and cheese. I have read that the minerals and nutrients are not available in raw veggies like broccoli and cauliflower (although the enzymes are still there.)
I would welcome any suggestions.
Hello,
As a picky protein type, I would suggest that you continue to consume the medium purine meat/poultry and fish that you enjoy and add in some additional veggies so that you don't feel so restricted. Kale, swiss chard and/or collard greens would be a nice choice due to their high mineral content. If having veggies that are not on your list consider combining them with the primary veggies that you do enjoy. Remember, the primary veggies on the protein type list are ideal due to their low glycemic/carb content.
We have encountered many protein types that will not consume high purine foods and do very well with medium purine proteins from meat/poultry and fish. It does require a bit more planning when you are a protein type, but the effort pays off as it is wonderful to experience the benefits of nourishing yourself properly; experiencing no cravings, feeling satisfied in between meals, better energy, ideal weight and an increase in mental clarity.

HI
There is a note on the Protein Type food chart that says that after
the first week you can eat any other veggie that you have a taste for -
as long as it grows above the ground. That is a relief, isn't it : )
Good luck,
