Many of the answers to many of the questions seem like they are coming from a book or a script. They do not have any real substance. The answer to my question about reconcling the protein diet with the recommended diet for high cholesterol began with something like "this is not the forum to discuss specific symptoms or get in a conflict with your doctor". Well, then, what's the point of having the forum? I asked a specific question and got a generic answer that didn't help me at all. Practically every thread ends with 1 answer from Glen. I am used to forums that are give and take between the members-you get varying opinions from a variety of people and learn about other people's experiences. On this forum, it seems you only get one answer from one person that sounds like it came out of a book rather than being based on experience. I want to know how other people are doing on this way of eating. I want to hear it from them, not the moderator or appointed "expert". This forum feels like a formal lecture or an advertisement rather than a bunch of people having a conversation.
Perhaps more people would participate if they didn't get the warning that their comments need to be approved by a moderator first. Other moderated groups I belong to don't have that warning, they just expect people to read the rules and then if someone becomes offensive, they remove the offensive message and block that person from participating.
You are correct that a forum is set up for all to respond and I can say that I have approved every message that has come across this forum to date. I also welcome all the participants in the forum to get involved as that is what makes a successful forum. I would like to add that all forums need to be moderated in some way since there has to be some control over content and language as to not offend the members. Remember that this forum is relatively new and it takes some time for individuals to get involved. Maybe your response will inspire others to get involved.
Good Health,

The results based on the book are not going to be as acurate as the program that you have just worked with. Your metabolic type could also shift as time goes on also so this could be playing a role also.
Breakfast proteins that I recommend may or may not be pleasing to you but here they are based on what I do; a chicken leg, herring, sardines, crab, a non-nitrate organic bacon or what may be left over from my previous dinner.
Maybe we can get some of the forum members to contibute their breakfast protein ideas as well as their reactions on their MT plans.
For breakfast I have been having either ground beef, ground bison or a couple of chicken thighs. Along with that I have an egg. After I finish that I have a small amount of mushrooms, spinach or asparagus with coconut oil. Or I have celery with almond butter or peanut butter...YUM!!!
It has been working for me, as long as I don't eat to many veggies.

I don't see it as a cookie cutter response forum. The forum has been very useful to me as I incorporate MT diet into my life style. Reading the other members questions and Glenn's answers have provided insight and encouragement to keep working with MT.
The MT diet is definitely not cookie cutter and has to be fine tuned to the individual (the reason it can work in the long run). So, I would imagine it would be difficult to give very specific answers unless someone is definitely eating off the plan.

I'm new to the forum and have only asked one question. The reply was that that I hadn't provided complete information (correct). But when I did provide the rest of the information, it wasn't answered.
One goal of the metabolic typing was to maximize my health/energy to support a full time job and a side business I'm launching, but it's not clear to me how to put all the results together and make it work. Perhaps additional reading on my part will provide my answers, though I was hopeful I could shortcut my education through the forum. In the meantime, I'm shifting my food choices to the lists provided and hoping for the best.
In my opinion, the follow-up support aspect of the forum was a little over emphasized for what it delivers. On the other hand, this is a lifestyle change and I probably mis-judged how much energy and time it would take to totally understand/implement it.
Bottom line? Impersonal and sterile answers to other's questions are a turnoff, though I'll return now and then just in case something pops up that applies to me. I do think the information itself is good.
I would apologize if I did not answer when you presented the additional information. I don't know what happened with your response as we usually try to miss nothing. I will not make any excuses as I obviously missed it. Please post your question again so I can help you out. Metabolic typing is the best system for nutritional recommendations that I have seen to improve your health and energy but it is a process. Once you get past the initial stage of implementing the plan and fine tuning it is easy from there. I want to help you through this beginning stage. The forum is here not only for us to aid in your progression through your metabolic typing but also to gather information from other members. Thank you!
