Trying hard!

Glen - ok, you probably guessed I would need to send a private message sooner or later!  I am trying SO HARD.  As you can see by my diet record sheets, I am following the diet.  I have increased my water.  I am eating liver...sometimes even raw!  I exercise everyday.  I do EFT.  I get sunshine.  I sleep at least 8 hours.  Given all this, it is SO hard for me to understand why my body does not drop the weight.  I have been doing the protein diet for one month (I was doing the mixed for 5 months prior, and re-tested at your suggestion).  I gained 7 pounds.  I have not lost any of this weight in the last month.  Is there ANYTHING else you can think of that I should try? 

Some of my friends have been asking me about what I am doing.  I am eager to tell them about the health benefits.  Then they say...wow, eating like that, you must be losing weight.  They are amazed when I say no.  I know you have said that it will happen in time, but I am honestly still confused about why it hasn't happened in even a little way.  It just doesn't make sense to me....does it to you??  I just want so badly to get to the point where I am able to follow this healthy diet, but also drop this excess body fat.  I do work on visualizing my "yoga" body, and seeing it as my reality, given the premise that your thoughts create your reality.  Anyway, I could go on an on, so I will just stop.  Thanks for listening, yet again.

Hi Anne,

You are not only trying hard but you are succeeding.

Based on the most recent post I have gotten from you it finally looks as if you are making significant headway with your energy production with your meals.  Reaching this state of balance is the first place you need to reach before you start seeing the results.

I would just keep your focus where it is and this will happen for you.  Your patience is being tested but it will be well worth it when you get there.  Focus on how good you are feeling and how long you are finally lasting without hunger or cravings and allow your body to take care of the weight when it feels it is best.

I will visualize you writing a post describing  the "yoga" body that you have achieved...I figure you would like all the help you can get!

Glen - your timing on this message was perfect.  How did you know??  I was struggling again this morning, wondering when it was my turn to be able to tell you that I dropped the excess weight ( I had just read one of the posts talking about that person's loss).  Then I read your message and am trying to re-focus.  It seems to be a constant battle (I just noticed my choice of words).  A constant "opportunity for growth"??  Anyway, thanks for the psychotherapy...

I don't suppose you know someone else where it took a long time to drop the weight?  If so, can you tell me about it?  Sometimes it helps to know that I am not alone.  And being the left brained person that I am, can you help me to understand "logically" why my body is holding on, despite all the positive things I am doing?

You are probably wondering why I suddenly have more time to write.  I work in a school, so we are out for the summer...hence more time.  Perhaps a curse for you and a blessing for me?

Ok, I am going off to eat breakfast, and think good things....

Hey Anne,

You bet I have had many patients with the same stuggles.  There is a potential for so many challenges tied into weight loss so it is not always cut and dry. 

 I had a patient recently that is feeling good and improving with her meal plan over the past year and she is still challenged with weight.  There is a lot of stress, anxiety, negative thought patterns that is keeping the weight on at this point.  The positives though is that many of her past challenges have subsided and she is choosing to release the weight last....I can respect that.

Anne,
