Dear Glen,
I know that you asked me to write to the public forum, but I need some help asap. I wrote to the forum yesterday but I have not heard back.  I wrote to you when you were on vacation and you were very kind to respond and to assure me that I will dance again. I did not tell you though how awful I was feeling.
I have been on the protein diet for 5 days, today is day 6.  In the beginning I was feeling absolutely sick, I am better now, but I am still fatigued, emotionally down (more than before the diet), also energetically my body seems stiff and rigid, mentally I am not quite there either.
It seems like I have been eating a looooooooot!! but my weight is about 3 pounds less.
I have been following the plan.  May be it is not right for me?  Should I continue? or modify something?
My friends and family told me that I should have stuck with the way I was eating before just slowly introducing protein, but I have been on it for 5 days already.
After meals sometimes all I can do is lie down.  May be all my energy is devoted to digestion now.
How long does it take for positive results to manifest? I understand it might be individual, but is this a normal response.
Anyway, I think you get the picture.
Please advise.

Hello Marina,

Since I do not know how you have been eating previously I can make some suggestions based on others that I have worked with in the past.  If you consumed a higher percentage of carbs prior to your plan you may be going through carbohydrate withdrawals at this time.  I would recommend eating the part 3 of the meal plan at least once per day.

Remember that you can address the amounts of food that you are eating.  Some protein types only need a few ounces of protein at the start of their meal while others need much more.  It is a process of understanding your body and you are very much at the beginning of this.  Let me know how you are doing with the suggestions.

Marina,

I have read in many places that protein diets are not very good for you.  Find out what type you are at Dr. Mercola's site and eat that way.  I have been doing that for quite some time.  But, to lower my fat ratio and lose inches as well as weight, I am drinking Bskinny Coffee.  It is great, it is low glycemic, controls hunger, produces energy, thermogenic fat burning with buffered caffine.  I can't believe how well it works.  My husband has lost an average of 7 pouinds a month.  I've lost some but more inches than anything.  I'm now back into my size 8's, and never felt better.  Call or email me. 419-929-3127.
