Hello
I have been close to death many times in my life from my own UNDOING. At one time I was a butter eating, sugar poisoning, food junkie who had eaten my way up to 334 pounds.
I wasn't a fast food junkie, because somehow I couldn't stand that crap. I am more of a gourmet cooking junkie. If it was too rich and sugary for the crowd, I loved it all the more and would devour it.
I wasn't always this out of control. When I was younger, in high school and in my early 20's, I'm 37 years old now. I was obsessed with weight training and exercise, I never changed my eating habits, I just exercised like a maniac to make sure I LOOKED GOOD on the outside. I essentially, wrecked my health with food and made up for it with exercise, because afterall, we are judged on appearance, boy did I fall for it.
I would take vitamins trying to UNDO the damage from food.
I went from a 5'9" anorexic at 112 pounds when I was 22 to an obese 334 pound woman at 32. Sick all of the time, heart feeling like I was going to have a heart attack at any minute, I lost my gallbladder from the yo-yo weight gain/loss every 6 months.
I got so skinny that I had a pneomothorax three times and almost died, I've been to heart doctors who ran a million tests but told me my heart was enlarged due to my weight but otherwise healthy.
I'm on the road to recovery and have lost a good portion of the weight through diet and exercise. I immersed myself in study on mercola.com of course and various other literature relating to health.
I really didn't understand the importance of Vitamin D and have now incorporated it into my healthy journey.
My question is, I get gas pressure at times, that is so bad that it feels like I'm having a heart attack, in fact, I've many times almost went to the hospital because it has gotten so bad at times.
I got the flu recently and was doing everything possible, naturally to battle it but had to resort to antibiotics because it was so bad. I normall wont' take them but I was afraid of the vulernability of my lungs and the extreme phlegm build-up that I felt I had to take them for a possible lung infrection
during the last 12 days, I have stopped my Primal defense because I knew the antibiotics would kill the good bacteria and it seems when my body is not being protected with sufficient probiotics that my digestion is almost inactivated and creates gas easily.
It causes severe pain in my chest and sometimes in my arms and jaw and I think I'm having a heart attack.
I take Gas X and It is relieved within a couple of hours, though scarey nonetheless.
I recently had several tests including a thallium stress test, tilt table test, and various heart tests that have all come out normal.
If I chew my food properly, eat healthy, take my probiotics on a empty stomach with water prior to eating and take a digestive enzyme after I eat I rarely suffer from any problems.
How do probiotics, digestion, no gallbladder and excessive gas relate to one another?
Is gas build-up in ones chest due more to digestion problems or possibly lung problems from the Pnemothoracies?
