I have been a subscriber to Dr. Mercola for quite so time now. I trust his judgment and his knowledge. I have a question for the Good Dr. as it pertains to the hormone vitamin D and Crohn's. If vitamin D is needed to form granulomas and crohn's is indicative of granulomas would it be prudent to consume larger amounts of vitamin D? Would the consumption of D perpetuate or exacerbate the development of Crohn's? What is the mechanism at work and why is Crohn's different from sarcoidosis in the development of granulomas?

Thank you in advance for your time in this matter, as I know you are all so busy.

Regards,

Walt Straiff

Walter,

I don't know the answer to your question, but as you, I'm a long time subscriber to Dr. Mercolas website and products and I occassionally call customer service or email them for answers to in depth questions.

I wish you all the best of luck and health.  I have a very dear friend who suffers from Chrons and he struggles with many of the issues you face.

Take care
