Okay, I made a huge mistake with my daughter. At 6 months of age I switched from breastfeeding to formula. We tried the milk based first and she got sick. Tried the soy and she was fine. Now I have been reading about the dangers of soy and the bad things that it can do to baby/childrens body. I am so mad at myself. What can I do to correct this with my daughter? Are there vitamins that will reverse some of the bad? Please help!!!
Depending on how old your daughter is changing her diet now will reduce chances of problems later. I like Phantom O'Banjo's diet recommendations. She will be fine. Aren't you glad you learned now rather than later? As parents we all do our best to raise our children with the tools we are given, it is time to gather more useful tools to add to the box. You are human, how were you supposed to know the dangers when everyone has touted the benefits of soy for so long?
Glad you learned the truth!

I too made the same mistake with my son as a baby and have had the same concern since visiting this site. He is now going on 5yrs old. When I look back now it makes sense after everything I've read why he was so emotional and what I considered to be more feminine. Everyone use to always say he was such a "beautiful" baby, which to me was an odd choice of words for a boy, and I think it affected him hormonally. I too have wondered what I can do for him to help reverse this damage or if it's too late. I have him on a well balanced diet and he doesn't eat fake sugars or corn syrup, no hormone/ nitrate meats, ect. but is there more I can do as well? He isn't old enough to swallow pills yet, so I can't give him the Krill oil, but does anyone know of anything else that would help? He takes a multi vitamin, but that's it.
