 Is it true that if someone that was hospitalized 3 years ago with pneumoia and had to have a trac put in and still has the trac. Would everyone that lives with this person have get flu shots or they will infect that person with the trac?

My sister-in-law said doctors said she would be infected and put back in hospital if we do not get shot!
