We are expecting our 1st (and probably only) child at the end of January. What are the benfits of saving the cord blood and how is it being used? We read that if the baby has a problem, the problem is already in the cord blood and may not be of use or beneficial. We are 39 and 42, is there a benefit to us? Can we possibly use it? What is the benefit of saving the placenta as well? There is so much information out there that we are confused. Are they playing on our emotions or is this something we should do?
