Hi there
I am not sure whether something like this is available in the USA, but in Switzerland there is a compendium of all medications on the market (predominantly Swiss), which includes all information on the compound - both the information usually made available to patients AND the information received by medical practitioners. Since Switzerland is a major producer in pharmaceutical products and chemicals (Novartis, Roche, et co), chances are, you will probably be able to find all the relative information on the compound you are researching. Additionally to that, you can search not only on product name (which varies from country to country) but also the active agents, pharmaceutical company and even a full text search. The only drawback is that most of it is in German or French... But Google Translate does a brilliant job at sorting that out. At least it may be useful for any German readers...? I stumbled onto this site when I saw my doctor looking something up in it. I then at home researched what the composition is of the allergy shots I receive and to my horror I found out that phenol and aluminium hydroxide are two of the major components... And I have been taking them for the past 2 years!!!
Best,
Steven
