I have juiced before and always used celery and spinach quite a bit. Now I find out that I should not use them because I am a carb type. Even though I am not supposed to use it, I had a bunch of celery
which I did not want to waste so I sent it down the hatch. The result for me was that I seemed to get a boost of energy that I don't seem to get when juicing the carb type veggies.
Am I missing something? It sure didn't seem to be a bad experience for me, actually it was something I would care to repeat.
Hello,
My question would be was this a quick anxious boost of energy or a long lasting even energy from the celery juice? Also if you could list your percentages with your reply that would be helpful.
Typically the celery and spinach will create a challenge for a carb type based on the purine levels.

According to the test I am 29 sympathehtic 31 balanced 38 parasympathetic 54 slow oxidation 45 fast oxidation. Whatever that means.
The energy was long lasting, I am generally feeling better than I have in a long time and I attribute that to the fact that I have lost 15 pounds(before getting on the diet), and have been exercising.
Since you posited the question in that way concerning the way the boost is felt, I think the diet is getting me more long lasting general well being than any kind of short term effect. However, the "celery effect" was fairly noticable.
I am still overweight and have had off and on problems with high blood pressure and blood sugar.
In the past I have been able to get to approximately this same point in my overall health which means my blood pressure is under control, and my weight is lower, but not ideal as I am now. This is the point from which in the past I "fall off the wagon" and or "hit the wall" and don't seem to be able to keep the ball rolling to better fitness.
Thanks for your responses.
You are very welcome!
My recommendation for patients is too make new choices for your health consistantly enough to create new patterns for yourself. The new patterns are the key and one way to help with this is to ask yourself one simple two part question when you are making choices; will this create balance for me or imbalance? Usually asking this question is enough to make the new choices long term enough to create new healthier patterns for yourself.
