I have ORS(ovarian remnant syndrome) I have had 8 surgeries to remove the tumor/growth that grows back each time, each time they say it is an ovary, with a cyst on it. Prior to the ORS I had polycystic ovaries from age 14, and cervical cancer in 1999. I had a radical hysterectomy which led me to the ORS. After 8 surgeries I started seeing a GYNO that started giving me the Lupron Depot shot. Which worked aside from the menopause side effects, which I was told would go away. I have had 5 doses of the lupron depot shot. the last was in November of 2008. In December of 2008 I woke up with bell's palsy. I didnt think anything of it at the time, the doctors couldnt give me a reason for this happening. Approximatly 2 months ago I started feeling the pain of the ORS again, but this time with more. My breasts are very tender, I went to the gyno for this and she sent me for a mamogram and ultrasound of the breasts which found a cyst on the right breast. Since then my breasts have gotten worse, more sore, swollen etc. They were getting bigger, a cup size difference in a week. I have been having headaches on a daily basis. And now I have EXTREME FATIQUE, I take energy pills and still fall asleep. I called the gyno about this and she sent me in for blood tests on the hormone levels. I have not gotten the results as to yet on the blood work, I have an appointment tomarrow for that. But I started looking into the lupron shot and the pituitary gland, specifically if they have anything to do with one another. I am surprised at what I have found. I am at a loss and do not really know where to go from here, I am getting desperate to feel normal again. Mind you normal to me is living with the pain of the ORS, but that would be a far stretch from what I am feeling now. I am at a total loss with all of this and would appreciate any input or info.
