A high pressure dry ice and water bottle exploded near my leg. I've had a gaping wound for almost a month and can barely walk. I went to an urgent care clinic and they basically did nothing - except charge a lot of money. A medical surgeon one time actually told me that they're 'mechanics', and know nothing about kinesiology.
Then I saw a wholistic doctor who gave me colloidal silver, zinc, and Andrographis.
I called a local chiropractor who I trust and seems very knowledgeable. She seemed to know exactly what is going on and what to do. I see her tomorrow. One thing she told me I could do right away is to pack the wound with sugar. I never heard of this before, and a search comes up with pretty sparse results. Anyone heard of this?
Chiropractor gave me some exotic herbs from the Amazon rain forest. It healed the wound phenomenally. But unfortunately it developed a very bad infection. Went back to medical clinic and they gave me some antibiotics.
Interesting --- quoted from the New York Times
"Experts say the ancient treament probably works because sugar tends to draw water into its gritty midst, through osmosis. This action both dries the bed of the wound to promote new tissue growth and dehydrates the bacteria that cause infection, leaving them weak and fragile." http://www.nytimes.com/1990/04/05/us/health-healing-treatment-4000-years-old-is-revived.html
A google search "sugar for deep muscle wounds" pulled up many similar articles.
