Your body needs energy when doing excercise. Morning is a great time to get it done. You should have a carbohydrate intake before you workout. This will boost your energy level to get you through your workout. I usually have a berry shake about 30 to 45 minutes before workout. My shake consists of berries, frozen or not, water and a little honey or pure maple syrup. You need to do this or your body won't metabollically burn properly. Your body will burn muscle without eating before your workout. By having a carbohydrate before workout allows your body to first burn the energy you just ate, then once your workout is over your body will burn the fat in your body. After your workout it is best to get protiens into your body as quick as possible. This can be done with a simple protien shake. It is the quickest way to get protien into your body. This process is important because your body will burn the best and nearest energy source first. That energy source is muscle, then fat. By following this procedure your body will first burn the energy you ate first (carbohydrate) then after workout it will burn the fat in your body wile your body takes the protien that you ate to feed the muscle in your body. Hope this helps.
